Project: Scaleable and Efficient Routing Protocol for Wireless Mesh Networks
Supervisor(s): Amitava Datta
Project status: complete semester 1, 2007

Routing protocol for wireless ad hoc networks have traditional focused on finding paths with minimum hop count. However, in link state routing, algorithm is design to measure the link quality of a wireless link for routing packets. In our protocol, we take mostly functionality of DSR protocol except deciding a routing path. Hence, for this purpose we will add link state routing functionality to DSR protocol for path selection. The focus of routing algorithm in wireless mesh network is to improve the network capacity or the performance of packet transfer among the source and destination node.
