From 1990 to 1997 all mouse and keyboard commands issued by users of the sam editor at Sydney University were monitored and recorded in order to analyse user behaviour over time. Some of the data, such as the use of the mouse scroll functions were found to exhibit a curiously periodic behaviour. This project will investigate whether this periodic behaviour exists and if so, its characteristics too.
