Before you send your email to the Unit Coordinators, have you checked the list below to see whether there is already an answer to your question?
- Q: I can log on to OLCR but OLCR seems to think I am not
enrolled in the unit. What shall I do?
A: Please try to logon to StudentConnect to ensure that you are indeed enrolled in the unit. If StudentConnect shows that you are enrolled in the unit, then the problem could be from OLCR itself and you can ignore the problem. If StudentConnect shows that you are not enrolled in the unit, then you should see the Enrolment Office.
- Q: I can't log on to cssubmit to submit my assignment. What
shall I do?
A: Have you activated your CSSE account? If not, please search for the appropriate link from the home page of the unit and follow the procedure to activate your account.Please note that you must logon to cssubmit in order to click on any links there to submit your files.
- Q: I have activated my CSSE account. Now I want to change my
CSSE account password to something that I can remember easily. What
shall I do?
A: See the activate-CSSE-account.html page.
- Q: I have forgotten my CSSE account password. How can I get it
reset?
A: You will need to see a CSSE System Admin Staff in Room G.04, CSSE Building. Extension 7082.
- Q: I have forgotten my pheme password. How can I get it reset?
A: Sorry, we can't help you here.
- Q: I have timetable clash with the tutorial classes allocated
for my School, can I attend the tutorial classes from a different
School?
A: While we cannot keep track of whether all the students attend to the tutorial classes of their Schools, we suggest that you not to attend tutorial classes across Schools. The first problem that you would encounter is you would not be able to logon to the computers.
- Q: How many assignments do I have to do?
A: Regardless of which School you are from, each GENG2140 must complete 6 assignments: 2 issued by the Civil Engineering School, 2 by the EE Engineering School, and 2 by the Mech. Engineering School.
- Q: I don't know where the assignment box of my School is
located. What shall I do?
A: Please ask an admin staff member of your School. Usually the School Manager or secretary of your School would be able to tell you.
- Q: How can I find out who my tutor(s) is (are)?
A: See tutorial-streams.html when it is available. Your assignments will most likely be marked by the tutor who supervises a tutorial session that you sign up, but we can't guarantee that this would be the case.
- Q: Should I submit my assignments to any of my tutors?
A: No, you should submit your assignments to the Assignment Box(es) for GENG2140 located in your School.
