Security and Privacy (CITS3231) - Examination information
INFORMATION ABOUT THE FINAL EXAMINATION:
The date, time, and location of the final examination for CITS3231
are available from
Student
Connect.
- The examination provides 50% of your assessment in CITS3231 this semester.
- The examination will be 2 hours and 10 minutes long.
- The examination paper will have 4 questions.
- You should attempt 3 questions of the 4 questions.
- If you attempt all 4 questions, only the first 3 attempted will be marked.
- All answers are to be written in a standard answer booklet provided.
- Each question is worth 20 marks.
- Each question will have 1, 2, or 3 parts.
- Do not write verbose answers to any question.
- As a guide, a part worth 8 marks should be answered
on at most a single page of your answer booklet.
- If a question asks for a diagram, then a relevant and correct diagram
that is correctly discussed in your answer,
will provide half of the question's marks.
- The examination paper covers all material discussed in lectures,
tutorials, and concepts introduced in laboratories.
- There will be questions from each of the four sections of the unit -
operating systems, networking, cryptography, and robust coding -
although there may not be exactly 1 question on each section.
- The questions will not examine any coding, nor specific
commands or syntax. However, you may choose to employ examples of these
to support your answers.
- The standard CITS3231 tutorial at
11am Monday 19th October
will discuss your questions on the sample paper.
You will receive the best value from this tutorial if you attempt
all sample exam questions beforehand.
Please arrive on time.
The following examination paper, the actual 2008 paper,
may be used as a representative sample exam paper :
