Exam InformationPrevious exam papers can be found under the Library's Course Materials Online system (CMO). You need to login using your student card details. This year's exam will have a similar format and style to previous exams. It will consist of 5 short answer coding questions and 20 multiple choice questions. These questions will be worth 12 marks each, making a total of 60, and the multiple choice section will be worth 40 marks. Please note that I have a policy of not providing solutions to previous exams. Reading the answers directly has the effect of imbuing the reader with confidence in their perceived knowledge, until they reach the exam where they find that they actually didn't know what they thought they knew... To get the full benefit from these past exam papers you must work through them yourself. Unlike exam conditions you have effectively unlimited time, you have access to lecture notes and books, you can work with your friends, and you have access to computers to test code. Of course if you do get stuck on anything you are most welcome to see me in my office anytime during the study break The exam period is a stressful time. Look after yourself. Make
sure you get some exercise, eat well, and note that sleep is very
important. See this article - it suggests that
getting a good night's sleep after a study session is crucial to
retaining the knowledge gained in your study session.
Good Luck! |
