CITS1200 - Laboratory Sessions

Java Programming Lab Sessions

There are eight lab sessions, in Weeks 2-9.

Four of the labs are to be submitted for marking. The due date for the submission of each assessed lab is noon on the Sunday at the end of that lab week.

All submissions are done electronically using cssubmit. The submission areas are named "Java Lab 2", "Java Lab 4", etc, so make sure you submit your code in the correct location.

The assessed labs are worth 10% altogether.

Extensions Policy

All applications for special consideration must be received by the FECM office within three working days of the relevant deadline. All requests must be accompanied by appropriate documentary evidence.

Plagiarism Policy

In accordance with the departmental policy on plagiarism, the assessed labs are expected to be the sole effort of the student submitting the work.

All submissions may be checked for similarity, and you may be asked to answer questions about your code and/or reproduce your code under test conditions. Changing variable names and/or the order of methods will not fool the similarity checker, and will be treated as a deliberate attempt to evade detection.

All parties involved will be deemed equally responsible.

Supplied Code

The class SimpleCanvas.java and its documentation.

Lab Sheets

The lab sheets are posted on the Friday before the week in which the lab is to be done. Read them on Fridays and do any preparatory reading/work before your actual lab time.
