Computer Networks (CITS3230) - Final examination
- The examination date is 9AM on Friday 20th June.

- The exam contributes 40% of your assessment in the unit.
- 2 hours and 10 minutes duration.
- The exam is closed-book - no books, notes, or calculators.
- The exam has 4 questions of equal value (20 marks each),
with each question having 2 or 3 parts.
Your are required to attempt 3 full questions.
- If you accidently attempt all 4 questions,
only the first 3 questions that you attempt will be marked.
Your 4th question will be ignored.
- Question 1 will examine topics on Data Communications;
questions 2-4 will examine topics on Internetworking.
- Questions may be drawn from lecture notes,
the textbook, and laboratory and tutorial work.
You should ensure that you have copies of all lecture handouts,
laboratory and tutorial sheets - all available via our webpages,
- The exam will not cover cnet coding.
However, one of more questions may ask you to develop some pseudo-code,
or code resembling Java or C.
The syntactic correctness of your code will not be assessed.
- These sample exams are the actual final exams
from
2005
and
2006
(I did not present this unit in 2007).
Ignore Q1c from 2005, as this topic has not been covered this year.
- Sample exam solutions will not be provided.
- Please feel free to discuss your thoughts and answers via

- Two tutorials,
at which the sample papers will be discussed,
will be held in week 13 of semester
(at 2PM Tue 3rd and Wed 4th June).

to answer questions from 2PM-4PM on
Mon 16th, Tue 17th, Wed 18th, and Thu 19th June.
